What rich black is
Plain 100% black (K100) can look grey on large solids. Rich black adds other CMYK inks under black for a deeper panel.
A common starting recipe is C40 M30 Y30 K100 — confirm with us for your press route and stock.
Small text warning
Keep small text and thin lines as 100% K only. Rich black on tiny type can cause registration fringing.
