Yes, add 3mm of bleed on all sides for any design where colour or images run to the edge. This prevents thin white slivers when your print is trimmed. Keep important text at least 5mm inside the trim.

Common questions about artwork preparation and printing services in Cape Town.

What is the best file format for printing?

A high-quality, print-ready PDF is best. It locks in your layout, fonts and images. We also accept JPG, PNG and TIFF, but PDF gives the most reliable results — especially with bleed and vector artwork.

Do I need bleed on my artwork?

Yes — add 3mm of bleed on all sides for any design where colour or images run to the edge. This prevents thin white slivers when your print is trimmed. Keep important text at least 5mm inside the trim. Read our bleed guide.

Can I upload Canva designs?

Yes. In Canva, turn on bleed and download as a PDF Print file. Check that images are sharp and that text isn't placed right on the edge. See our Canva printing guide, or upload and we'll check it.

What is the difference between RGB and CMYK?

RGB is for screens; CMYK is for print. Designing in CMYK gives the most predictable colour. We accept RGB files, but bright RGB colours may shift slightly when converted to CMYK. Full detail in CMYK vs RGB.

How long does printing take?

Standard turnaround is typically 3–5 working days, depending on the product, quantity, artwork approval and production load. Some products offer next-day or same-day options where possible (often collect-only).

When is litho better than digital?
