How to export a print-ready PDF
Press-quality settings, bleed, fonts and images — for Canva, Illustrator, InDesign and Word.

General settings that work
- Choose Press Quality or High Quality Print.
- Include 3mm bleed and crop marks if your layout runs to the edge.
- Embed fonts or convert text to outlines.
- Keep images at appropriate resolution (usually 300 DPI for paper products).
By application
- Canva: PDF Print + crop marks and bleed. Canva guide.
- Illustrator / InDesign: Export Adobe PDF (Press) with marks and bleeds.
- Word / PowerPoint: Export or Save As PDF — keep critical content inset from the edge if you are unsure about bleed.
Before you upload
Open the PDF and zoom in. Check spelling, edges, and trim. Then upload — we run a free basic artwork check.
