Choose size, paper weight and finish for handouts that land — from DL letterbox drops to A5 store flyers.

Popular flyer sizes
- A5 — the most popular handout size.
- DL — slim format that fits letterboxes and racks.
- A6 / A7 — compact offers, price cards, inserts.
- A4 — menus, notices, info sheets.
- Square — standout social-style print.
Always design at the final trim size, then add 3mm bleed.
Paper weight (gsm)
- 130–150gsm — everyday handouts and high-volume drops.
- 170–250gsm — premium promos that feel substantial.
Heavier isn’t always better for door-to-door — lighter stock can distribute further on the same budget. Match weight to how the flyer will be used. More in paper types & GSM.
One side or two?
Single-sided works for simple offers. Double-sided is better for menus, maps, terms, or a stronger brand story. Lead with one bold message and a clear call to action on the front.
Digital vs litho volumes
Lower quantities often run digitally for speed. Higher volumes may be more cost-effective on litho. See digital vs lithographic printing, or build a multi-piece campaign in the Marketing Planner.
Artwork tips
- 3mm bleed; keep text 5mm inside the trim.
- Export a print-ready PDF (Canva: PDF Print with crop marks & bleed).
- Check spelling, phone numbers and QR codes before you upload.
