CMYK vs RGB for print
Screens use RGB light; printers use CMYK ink. Designing in CMYK gives more predictable print colour.

The difference
- RGB (red, green, blue) — how screens mix light. Can look very bright.
- CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, key/black) — how most commercial printers mix ink.
Some vivid RGB colours (neon greens, electric blues) cannot be matched exactly in CMYK and may look slightly more muted in print.
Brand colours
If brand colour accuracy is critical, design with CMYK values (or Pantone for spot colour). Soft proofs on screen are guides only — lighting and monitors vary.

What Print Hut accepts
We accept RGB files, but converting to CMYK for press can shift bright colours. Where possible, supply CMYK PDFs. We still run a free basic artwork check on orders.
